Benefits of Avatar NEA Tetraploid Treated

  • Late heading (+22 days) to maintain pasture quality longer into spring. Contains NEA endophyte to provide pest protection and is safe for animals.
  • Highly compatible in mixed pasture - its upright and open growth habit makes space for clovers and herbs.
  • To improve persistence, mix with a diploid ryegrass like Raider or Ultra - this prevents overgrazing by stock as a diploid grass grows much denser, protecting the base of Avatar.
  • Suitable for all farm types and stock.
  • Sowing rate: 25-30kg/hectare in pasture mixes with 3-4kgs of clover, plus 2-4kgs of
    herbs (chicory and/or plantain) if desired.
