Lime flour is a fine, natural limestone powder rich in calcium carbonate. It breaks down quickly in soil, boosting calcium levels for healthier plants. It’s also perfect for helping prevent milk fever in cows post-calving. A simple, effective solution for farm health.

Benefits of Lime Flour on the ground

  • High quality, ultra fine product with high calcium content
  • Multi-use calcium supplement, can be used for dusting, oral drenching or added to supplementary feed
  • Aids in prevention of milk fever in dairy cows after calving

Milk Fever prevention - 100 to 300g per cow per day.

Drenching - one part lime flour with four parts water. Stir frequently and flush drench lines after use to minimise settling out.

To balance low calcium diets 50-300g per cow per day. Alternatively add to the feed at a rate of 60–120g per kg of feed on a wet basis (or 20–40g/kg of feed dry matter).

  • DO NOT FEED TO PREGNANT COWS IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS OF PREGNANCY, except under veterinary advice.
  • Lime Flour should not be added to the silage at the time of laying the stack down unless it is only going to be fed to lactating cows.
  • Lime Flour is not soluble in water so cannot be administered through the drinking water. If it is to be mixed into suspension with magnesium oxide, the magnesium oxide should be suspended in water and left to stand for at least several hours before the Lime Flour is added.

Unable to be mixed with any N based, Super based products
