Benefits of Pasture Patch-up on the ground

  • These products are a great solution to top up areas where 'pugging' has occurred, which describes common winter soil damage caused by heavy machinery or livestock walking on wet or waterlogged ground. This can lead to soil compaction and reduced soil structure, affecting plant growth and water infiltration. It’s key to keep on top of this.

  • This bundle contains popular fertiliser Cropmaster20, where nitrogen is more easily absorbed by crops in the ammonium form. It also contains phosphate and sulphate content similar to superphosphate.

  • The Pasture Repair Mix is a balanced blend of both Italian and perennial ryegrass.

Application

  • Cropmaster 20 flows faster through a drill or spreader than super based products. It is important to calibrate your equipment. As Cropmaster 20 contains ammonium sulphate, it is important to ensure rates are not too high for the crop with which it is to be used. To minimise the risk of seed germination injury application rates with seed need to be watched.
  • As with most solid fertilisers, Cropmaster 20 can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed.
  • Also, clean drills and spreaders after use to avoid corrosion.
